— Our Story

Founded in Bangkok, 2017

Kavari grew out of a straightforward observation: many small and mid-sized businesses in Thailand were spending money on consultants who arrived with frameworks designed elsewhere and left before anything changed. The founders — a pair of operational specialists with backgrounds in regional management and organisational design — decided there was a different way to do it.

The practice started with a single engagement: a three-week review of a Bangkok-based distribution company that had doubled in headcount but hadn't adjusted its internal structures to match. The report produced at the end of that engagement became a working template. Over time, Kavari developed three distinct engagement formats, each with a defined scope and a written deliverable — the kind of output that a leadership team could sit with, discuss, and act on independently.

Today, Kavari works with a small number of clients at any given time. That's a deliberate choice — not a constraint. The practice doesn't scale by adding headcount; it maintains quality by keeping each engagement genuinely attentive.

— Our Mission

Give leadership teams a clearer picture of what's actually happening inside their organisations.

That sounds simple. In practice, it requires patience, discretion, and a willingness to ask questions that insiders sometimes find uncomfortable. Kavari's value isn't a proprietary method — it's the independence of an outside observer who has taken the time to understand your context before forming an opinion.

ADVISORY ONLY

We assess and document. Implementation remains with your team, always.

FIXED SCOPE

Every engagement has agreed terms before work begins. No surprises in billing or scope.

CONFIDENTIAL

Client information is never referenced or shared. A confidentiality clause is standard in every engagement.

— How We Work

Professional Standards We Hold Ourselves To

Written Engagement Terms

Scope, deliverables, fee, and confidentiality obligations are agreed in writing before any work begins. There are no verbal-only understandings.

Client Confidentiality

All information gathered during an engagement — interview notes, internal documentation, observations — is treated as confidential and not referenced in other work.

Impartial Assessment

Reports reflect what the consultant observed and documented, not what a client may prefer to hear. Findings are presented as observations, not prescriptions.

Named Consultant Responsibility

Every engagement is led by a named Kavari consultant. Work is not subcontracted or delegated to junior staff without the client's knowledge.

Data Handling Protocols

Client documents shared during an engagement are handled and stored securely. Soft copies are deleted at engagement close unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Responsive Communication

Clients receive responses to queries within one business day during an active engagement. Delays are communicated proactively, not after the fact.

— Our Expertise

What Kavari Brings to an Engagement

Business consulting in Thailand sits in an unusual position. The market is full of large consultancies whose frameworks were developed for different industries in different markets, and independent consultants whose practice is too narrow to address the breadth of organisational challenges that small businesses face.

Kavari was built to sit between those two options: structured enough to produce reliable, repeatable work, but small enough to adapt that work to the specific context of each client. The three engagement formats — workflow review, communications audit, and strategic facilitation — were designed to address the three areas where Kavari's team has the deepest experience and the clearest methodology.

The practice is grounded in direct observation rather than survey-based data collection. When Kavari conducts a workflow review, a consultant spends time in the organisation — speaking with team leads, mapping actual process flows rather than documented ones, and identifying where effort is being lost between steps.

The result is advice that reflects what is actually happening inside the organisation, not what the process documentation says should be happening. For many of the businesses Kavari has worked with, that difference is the entire value of the engagement.
